On 21 September 2026, CHOICE took part in the #EUHPP Live Webinar “Empowering People, Transforming Cancer Care: Advancing Health Literacy Across Europe”, hosted by the European Commission’s EU Health Policy Platform.

Daniel Schwarz (Institute of Biostatistics and Analyses) presented “Health literacy before and after a BRCA result: Early implementation insights from Portugal, Greece and Czechia”. The talk drew on the first lessons from implementing CHOICE in the three pilot countries. It looked at the barriers people encounter before testing and after receiving a BRCA result, how these shape understanding and decision-making, and how they vary between countries. Daniel also presented preliminary results from the Czech pilot.
